Overview of Tri Nguyen Aquarium
Tri Nguyen Aquarium, also known as Tri Nguyen Aquarium, is situated on Mieu Islet – a small islet in Nha Trang Bay, Khanh Hoa Province. The islet is very convenient for day trips, especially for families with young children or the elderly, given its relatively short distance and calm waters.

Tri Nguyen Aquarium in Nha Trang
Tri Nguyen Aquarium is a unique structure closely linked to the history of Nha Trang’s coastal region. In 1971, a local fisherman named Le Can had the bold idea of building a large aquarium on the islet to breed, raise, and display various marine fish species.
The most striking feature at Tri Nguyen Aquarium is the giant fossilized ship built on the water, creating a mysterious atmosphere. The ship, constructed of cement, is 30 meters high and 60 meters long, with three levels divided into different functional areas. Visiting here will undoubtedly provide you with a wonderful experience and a connection to the vast ocean.
How to get there?

Explore the space of Tri Nguyen Aquarium
The space here is divided into many areas, each with its own unique charm, promising a rich and vibrant exploration journey, especially suitable for families with young children.
Outdoor Area
The outdoor area is the first thing visitors notice when they set foot in Tri Nguyen Aquarium. The sea level is raised by a system of low coral-rock embankments, allowing natural water circulation.

This is home to familiar fish species such as mackerel, tuna, and scad, as well as stingrays… hidden in the rock caves are giant squid and lobsters, some weighing up to 3 kg.
The interior of the ship
The indoor pond is smaller than the open-air pond, and the fish are smaller but of the most expensive kind. These are ornamental fish of various unique colors. The third pond is arguably the most unique. This is a pond for hawksbill turtles and sea turtles. There are turtles weighing over 100 kg with shells up to 1.5 m in diameter covered with algae, clams, and snails. Visitors can simply sit on the stone embankment, gently stir the water with their feet, or drop a few pieces of bread to see a whole school of hawksbill or other sea turtles gather.

The fourth pond is vast, bordering the foothills and the beach. This pond houses all kinds of marine fish, from tiny anchovies to those weighing several hundred kilograms. This is the fish pond that children love the most because of the wooden fish tanks that are pushed forward by pedaling, allowing them to happily watch the various fish swimming leisurely in the water.

The interior of the ship is divided into levels: the ground floor has a fish pond; The second floor houses souvenir and handicraft shops, while the restaurant is located on the third floor.

On the deck are the mast and a cannon, offering an ideal vantage point for viewing the sea. This is also a major attraction, modeled on a 60-meter-long, 30-meter-high fossilized ship lying underwater near the island’s coast; the aquarium is clearly visible from a distance. The Tri Nguyen Aquarium is an open-air collection of marine fish, plants, and other marine life.
Soi Beach
Located a few hundred meters from Tri Nguyen Aquarium, accessible by crossing an island. It’s called Soi (Pebble) Beach because the beach here has no sand, only smooth, round pebbles stretching from the shore to the clear blue sea, where you can see the bottom. Pebble Beach retains its pristine, unspoiled beauty, with the sea in front and a primeval forest behind, filled with ancient trees and tangled vines.

You can freely frolic in the open sea, relax under the shade of coconut trees, or participate in exciting water sports such as:
- Paragliding: Enjoy panoramic views of the island from above
- Jet skiing: Speed through powerful waves
- Banana boat, kayaking: Fun for groups of friends, bonding with family
- Scuba diving, underwater walking: Explore vibrant coral reef ecosystems, touch the underwater world
