Overview of Dai Lanh Beach

The beach is surrounded by two mountain passes: Ca Pass to the north and Co Ma Pass to the south. Perhaps because of this, even on days with strong winds and waves, Dai Lanh Beach remains exceptionally calm and peaceful. The most impressive feature for visitors is the crescent-shaped stretch of fine white sand, surrounded by lush green casuarina trees. A fresh water source runs from the bottom of a mountain through the beach. In the distance lies the vast, clear sea, so transparent that you can almost see the bottom.

After enjoying a refreshing swim in the cool blue sea, visitors can jet ski, kayak, or join fishermen on their boats to fish at sea… For those who prefer more relaxing activities, don’t forget to check out the colorful wooden houses next to the beach, which add a playful and interesting touch to the otherwise tranquil and pristine blue sea.

The coastal fishing villages of Khai Luong, Dam Mon… are also great destinations for visitors who want to learn about coastal life and enjoy local delicacies. Another must-see is Vung Ro Port, famous for its nameless docks during the war against the US. Visiting the port and listening to the heroic historical stories of our ancestors is a meaningful experience that will make your trip even more memorable.

Specialities of Dai Lanh Beach

Visiting Dai Lanh, don’t forget to enjoy the local “specialty,” squid hotpot. There are dozens of squid hotpot restaurants along both sides of the road. Being near the sea, the area always has fresh squid, especially the small, round-bodied, white-fleshed, sweet squid. The squid used for hotpot is usually about the size of a thumb, and the restaurants only start cooking when a customer orders.

When eating squid, dipping it into a bowl of pure fish sauce and adding a few chili peppers makes it even more delicious. The flavor is enhanced by sipping hot broth, adding a handful of spinach and mustard greens, and savoring the spicy, hot aroma… After splashing around in the clear blue water, visitors can come ashore and enjoy a steaming hotpot, feeling incredibly warm and satisfied.
