Located within the Ba Na Hills resort complex, the Golden Bridge (Cầu Vàng) stands as one of Da Nang’s most striking architectural landmarks. The bridge is famous for the image of two colossal hands emerging from the mountainside, appearing to cradle a golden, ribbon-like walkway suspended in mid-air.
Golden Bridge – A unique tourism icon of Ba Na Hills
The Golden Bridge is part of the Avatar Garden project, created by TA and commissioned by the Sun Group. Inaugurated in June 2018, the Golden Bridge sits at about 1,414 meters above sea level and spans nearly 148.6 meters. It consists of eight sections, the longest measuring 21.2 meters. Two stone-carved hands flank the bridge, with fingers about 2 meters in diameter, that appear to support the structure. The bridge deck is mainly made of 5cm-thick wooden stirrups, and the railing is gold-plated stainless steel.

Beyond its impressive architecture, the Golden Bridge offers a unique vantage point. From here, visitors can take in Ba Na’s deep green slopes, watch clouds drift through the valleys, and enjoy the cool, crisp mountain air. On foggy days, the bridge occasionally appears to emerge from a sea of clouds, creating an ethereal, dreamlike scene.
Awards and Recognition
Following its debut, the Golden Bridge quickly captured the attention of international media, becoming an iconic symbol used to promote Vietnamese tourism globally.

On March 20, 2021, the British newspaper (Daily Mail) published a survey featuring a list of new wonders of the world, with the Golden Bridge (Cầu Vàng) taking the top spot.
*The Guardian* honored the Golden Bridge as the “most striking pedestrian bridge in the world.”
The World Travel Awards (WTA), often called the “Oscars of the travel industry“, have awarded the Golden Bridge two titles, “World’s Leading Iconic Tourist Bridge” and “World’s Leading Iconic Tourist Attraction,” for four consecutive years starting in 2020.
The Golden Bridge is not famous for its length or scale, but rather for its ability to transform a simple walkway into a work of art integrated into the natural landscape. The iconic image of hands cradling a golden ribbon creates a distinctive signature, making the structure instantly recognizable.
