Day 1: Hoa Dinh – Tam Hiep Island – Homestay

On the first day, depart from Ho Chi Minh City and drive for approximately 2 hours to An Hoa Bridge in Ben Tre province. Visit a coconut workshop to observe traditional coconut processing methods. Explore the colorful Cao Dai Temple and then board a boat to see the process of making activated charcoal from coconut shells at a local factory. Cross the Cua Dai and Cua Tieu rivers to reach Tam Hiep islet. Enjoy lunch at a local house and take a tuk-tuk ride to a farm where creepers are cultivated. Participate in making local cakes and taste special herbal jelly. Explore the smaller canals on a hand-rowing boat before returning to the homestay for a shower and cooking dinner with your hosts.

Day 2: Homestay – Tam Hiep islet – Hoa Dinh

On the second day, after enjoying breakfast at the homestay, you’ll embark on a biking trip through the vast orchards of Tam Hiep islet. Explore the charming scenery and immerse yourself in the peaceful atmosphere. During the biking excursion, you’ll visit the local market, school, bonsai garden, and bee farm, gaining insights into the daily life of the islet’s residents. Make a stop at the local pagoda to admire its beauty and tranquility.

After the exploration, return to the homestay to check out and bid farewell to your hospitable host. Then, you’ll board a boat to visit the ancient Long Thanh Communal House, a national architectural heritage site. Marvel at the historical significance and architectural details of this cultural gem.

Finally, you’ll return to the bus waiting in An Hoa village, marking the end of your journey. Sit back and relax as you travel back to Ho Chi Minh City, reflecting on the wonderful experiences and memories from your 2-day Mekong Delta adventure.
