Day 1: Ho Chi Minh City – My Tho – Vinh Long – Can Tho (L, D)

Day 1: Ho Chi Minh – My Tho – Vinh Long – Can Tho (L, D)
Meet the local guide and driver, and your tour will begin with a transfer to My Tho. Upon arriving in My Tho, we board a wooden motorboat to Unicorn islet. Along the river’s bank, you will pass through the natural creeks, an interesting fisherman’s port, and the stilt houses, which are half on land, half on water.
The trip continues with a visit to the bee farm, where you have a chance to try the tasty cup of authentic honey tea. We will then stroll through the quiet villages and observe the daily life of the locals in the Mekong Delta. In just 15 minutes, you can witness all kinds of interesting modes of transportation that rural people in the Mekong use to get around.
After returning to the large motorboat, you will cruise a canal whose 2 long sides are lined with alluring orchards. Then the local guide leads us to a village where the scent of coconuts hangs in the air. In the village, there are many small shops making coconut candy and handcrafted items from coconut trees.
You might be mesmerized by the way they make dozens of useful products from other parts of coconut trees. As you savor lunch at the restaurant, you will return to My Tho by boat and then travel to Can Tho for overnight accommodation.
Day 2: Can Tho – Cai Rang Floating Market – Phu Quoc (B, L)
After enjoying breakfast at the hotel, we board a boat and travel for 40 minutes to reach the spectacular landscape, also known as the largest Cai Rang Floating Market. The market is the largest market in the Mekong Delta. During the day, you can try boarding a merchant boat that sells pineapples from Can Tho city.
We will then transfer to the airport and take a flight to Phu Quoc. You will arrive at Duong Dong airport in Phu Quoc. A car will be available to pick you up from the airport and transfer you to the hotel. Overnight in Phu Quoc.
Day 3: Phu Quoc – Explore East Beach (B, L)
Your day starts with a light breakfast at the hotel. You are free until the local guide takes you to the restaurant for a scrumptious lunch. We will then visit the biggest fishing port and village in Phu Quoc.
After that, we will have a trek to Tranh Stream (only from May to Nov), Hung Long Tu Pagoda, and the traditional fish sauce processing house. Coming back to Duong Dong Town and having a visit to a Sim wine distillery.
Enjoy dinner at the restaurant and return to the hotel.
Day 4: Coasting Experience in Southern Phu Quoc – Snorkeling (B, L)
After a light breakfast, you are free to relax at the hotel until the guide picks you up. We will enjoy the bustling activities of the seafood market and the fantastic sight of many colorful fishing boats cluttering the area.
Then we will board a wooden motorboat to the islets for snorkeling and fishing. Savor lunch made of fresh seafood right on the board. A free afternoon on the beach, when you can swim in crystal-clear water or go kayaking to be mesmerized by the beauty here. Back to the hotel for dinner and overnight accommodation.
Day 5: Phu Quoc – Ho Chi Minh Departure (B)
After enjoying breakfast at the hotel, you are free until your transfer to the airport in Ho Chi Minh City. It’s the end of services in Phu Quoc. Your Mekong Delta trip from Ho Chi Minh City ends. See you next time!
