The World Coffee Museum, built and opened in 2018 by Trung Nguyen Legend Group, is a favorite destination for coffee connoisseurs and has become an iconic architectural landmark and an ideal place to learn about coffee culture in Dak Lak.

Overview of the World Coffee Museum

The Central Highlands are a land of generous people and vast forests. When mentioning the Central Highlands, one cannot fail to mention coffee, a specialty of this mountainous region. While countries like Brazil, Colombia, the UK, and Japan have coffee museums, Vietnam has one as well.

The World Coffee Museum in Buon Ma Thuot Ward, built by Trung Nguyen Legend Group, is a symbolic highlight of Vietnam’s coffee industry. The project was built with the hope of contributing to the economic, commercial, and trade development of the locality, gradually transforming Buon Ma Thuot into a global coffee capital.

The World Coffee Museum is modeled after the traditional Rong houses of the ethnic groups in the Central Highlands, creating an iconic architectural landmark in the region that consists of five gracefully curved blocks. Beyond its aesthetic appeal, the museum’s design also conveys a message of connection between humanity and nature. Surrounded by lush greenery, the open and airy space allows visitors to fully appreciate the harmony between modernity and tradition.

Here, visitors can admire traditional coffee processing tools, grinders, roasters, antique cups and saucers, and more. The exhibition space tells the story of coffee, famous coffee enthusiasts, and even valuable research manuscripts on global coffee culture. There is also an area showcasing some musical instruments of ethnic minorities in the Central Highlands.

Another unique feature of the museum is that visitors can touch the exhibits and sample different types of coffee on-site. This “open” approach makes it not just an exhibition space, but a vibrant experiential environment.

Visitors can learn about different types of coffee beans and the production process that turns fresh beans into a fragrant, hot cup of coffee. More than just a place to display and store documents and artifacts, the museum is also a paradise for coffee lovers. The beverage area is designed in a luxurious European style, with a modern open bar.
