Thoi Loi (Vietnamese: Thới Lới) was once a volcanic crater that has long been dormant. Millions of years of geological formation, weathering, and erosion have sculpted the area into towering cliffs and distinctive layers of volcanic rock. On one side, near-vertical cliffs face the sea, creating a dramatic and majestic landscape. A freshwater reservoir now sits atop the crater, supplying water for both daily life and agriculture on the island.

The mountain’s greatest draw is the expansive view from its summit. From the top, visitors can look down upon the patchwork of shallot and garlic fields interspersed with residential areas and the clear blue coastline. On clear days, the blue of the sea blends with the sky to create a vast, open vista, perfect for sightseeing and photography.
