Mekong Delta 3 days 2 nights: MY THO – VINH LONG – CAN THO – CA MAU
This Mekong Delta 3 days 2 nights will bring you many experiences and a great chance to explore: DAY 1 : SAI GON – MY THO – BEN TRE – CAN THO ( Breakfast, lunch, dinner) Morning: The bus and tour guide will pick you up at our office at 184 Le Lai Street, Ben Thanh Ward, HCMC, or hotels near the Ben Thanh market from 6:30 to 7:15 am. Then you will start the trip to the Mekong Delta (My Tho – Vinh Long). In My Tho, tourists stop at Mekong Restop. You’ll have breakfast with typical dishes in Southern Viet Nam, such as Hu tieu My Tho (My Tho rice noodle soup), Com Tam (broken rice),…. Then you come to Vinh Trang pagoda, built by Mr. and Mrs. Bui Cong Dat in the 19th century. Vinh Trang Pagoda is an architectural and artistic relic that ranks third among pagodas in the southern part of the country. The pagoda was built in harmony with the architecture of both Europe and Asia. Next, visitors will go to My Tho Cruise Port, then board a boat to travel to the Tien River, and admire the four islets: Dragon, Unicorn, Tortoise, and Phoenix. Boats run along floating fish rafts, allowing visitors to learn how local people raise fish in the river and to see Rach Mieu Bridge. To Thoi Son islet (Unicorn islet), you walk on the village road, visit local people’s houses and fruit gardens, take souvenir photos, and then visit the honey bee farm, enjoy honey tea. Next, you come to the tunes of Don Ca Tai Tu – Southern folk music in Vietnam, and enjoy the fruit. After that, visitors use rowing boats to weave through the small canal to see the two rows of natural coconut trees and the garden’s simple landscape. Continue walking on the village’s road to the coconut candy shop, learn how to make candy, and see some handicrafts made from the coconut tree. Noon: The tour guide takes you to the restaurant for lunch (set menu). After that, you can relax, fish for crocodiles, visit the monkey bridge, take a hammock to rest, or cycle along the village road, … Around 14h30pm: return to My Tho by boat and depart for Can Tho city. Arriving in Can Tho (2-3 hours driving ) , you check in hotel located in the city center. Then, around 18h30pm, the bus takes you to Ninh Kieu wharf. You have a cozy dinner on a luxury yacht to explore Western cuisine on the Can Tho River and listen to Southern amateur music. 21:30 : The yatch docked, you are free to explore Can Tho city at night. Then, self-sufficient, back to the hotel. DAY 2 : CAN THO – CAI RANG FLOATING MARKET – CA MAU ( Breakfast , lunch , dinner) Morning: You have breakfast at the hotel, then the bus will take you to Ninh Kieu wharf, where you will take a boat to cruise on the river. Visit Cai Rang floating market, one of the busiest floating markets in the Mekong Delta, where hundreds of boats and ships trade and exchange goods and local specialties. Visit the craft village of making Hu Tieu (rice noodle). Arriving in Soc Trang, you visit Som Rong pagoda – The largest reclining Buddha pagoda in Vietnam with famous Khmer architecture. Continue the journey to Ca Mau, visit Tac Say church, visit the grave of Father Truong Buu Diep – a famous priest who is considered a saint of grace, blessing those who believe, and pray. Noon: Depart for Ca Mau and have lunch at a local restaurant. Afternoon: Visit the mangrove forest – go to Ca Mau cape – the last sacred land of the motherland on the map of Vietnam. You will be able to see the scenery and take souvenir photos with your own eyes at the National Coordinate Landmark – GPS 0001, the iconic Ca Mau Cape. Enjoy the panoramic view of Ca Mau Cape and visit the mangrove ecosystem at Cape Ca Mau National Park, a World Biosphere Reserve. Visit the flagpole at Ca Mau Cape, visit the museum, and the statue of Au Co’s mother. Continue to Cape Land to take souvenir photos with a red flag shirt with a yellow star, and visit the symbol of Ca Mau Cape. Then the group returned to the car, and the tour guide took you to the hotel to check in and rest. 18:00: The bus takes you to have dinner. You are free to explore Ca Mau’s nightlife. DAY 3: CA MAU – BAC LIEU PRINCE’S HOUSE – Ho Chi Minh City ( Breakfast, lunch) Morning: Have breakfast at the hotel; check out procedures. Then get on the bus to see the Bac Lieu wind power on the way. Continue to visit Bac Lieu Prince’s house. This house was built in 1919, designed by a French engineer, and all construction materials were brought from France. After completion, it was considered the most superficial house in the South of the six provinces at that time. And most of all, the anecdote of the once golden life of Ba Huy (Tran Trinh Huy) – who was dubbed “The Prince of Bac Lieu” that to this day can be said by everyone who is well known. Continue the journey, visit Nam Hai Avalokitesvara, and pray for good luck for yourself and your family. Then depart for Soc Trang to visit the factory producing Quang Tran-branded Pia cake from 1950 until now. Noon: Depart for Can Tho to have lunch with Southern specialties such as Hotpot, garden chicken, and Linh fish. Afternoon: You continue to get on the bus back to Ho Chi Minh City, arrive in the city around 19 pm, end the Mekong Delta 3 days 2 nights tour.
