But Beach is located in the south of the Son Tra Peninsula, Da Nang, near the Linh Ung Bai But Pagoda area. With its back against the green mountain slopes and facing the sea, this place has the typical beauty of Son Tra, where forest and sea meet.

Compared with the large, bustling beaches near central Da Nang, But Beach is smaller and surrounded by natural terrain. Along the shore, sand mixes with rocks; behind it, the peninsula is green. From here, visitors can look out over Da Nang’s waters and enjoy a space that is relatively separate from the urban area.

But Beach suits gentle activities such as watching the sea, walking, taking photos, and resting. On favorable days, the sea is clear, and the mountains and forests behind it create many beautiful views. Mornings and late afternoons are often more pleasant, when the sun is not too strong.

The name But Beach (Vietnamese: Bãi Bụt) is also associated with folk stories and the religious life of local people. The area is better known today for Linh Ung Pagoda in Son Tra, a prominent Buddhist structure perched on a mountainside above the beach. From the temple grounds, visitors can look down on But Beach and Da Nang’s coastline.

With its mix of blue sea, mountain slopes, and natural space, Bai But offers a different side of the sea from the city’s famous beaches, ideal for tourists who want to watch the sea and explore the peninsula’s landscape.
