Ho Chi Minh City – My Tho – Vinh Long – Can Tho – 6 Days

Day 1: Ho Chi Minh City Arrival (D)

Upon arrival at Tan Son Nhat International Airport, you will meet the local guide and driver, and then be transferred to the hotel. Feast on the welcome dinner and stay overnight at the hotel in Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 2: Ho Chi Minh City Tour (B, L, D)

Get up early and have breakfast before a half-day visit to the Reunification Palace, the former residence of the president of South Vietnam, and to some French colonial buildings, such as Notre Dame Cathedral and the Saigon Central Post Office. Then, return to the hotel for lunch.

In the afternoon, see the Emperor Jade Pagoda and the War Remnants Museum. We end the city tour with a visit to Ben Thanh Market, a bustling shopping area offering a variety of goods, including clothes, food, drinks, fruits, and souvenirs, all at affordable prices.

In the evening, have a nice dinner on the Bon Sai cruise on the Saigon River.

Day 3: Cao Dai Temple – Cu Chi Tunnels (B, L, D)

In the morning, we have breakfast at the hotel and drive west to Cao Dai Holy Land - the center of Caodaism in Vietnam, which is the symbol of the perfect combination of Buddhism, Confucianism, and Taoism. Tourists are allowed to watch from the galleries and take photos; however, silence is requested during services.

After lunch at a local restaurant, on the way back, visit the Cu Chi Tunnels, a complex underground system built by Vietnamese soldiers during the struggle for independence. The tunnels used to be living areas, hospitals, even weapon factories, and combat bases.

Then return to Ho Chi Minh City and stay overnight.

Day 4: My Tho – Vinh Long – Can Tho (B, L, D)

After breakfast at the hotel, depart for My Tho ferry terminal: the group will take a motorboat along the Tien River to see the famous Rach Mieu bridge and the four islands Long, Lan, Quy, and Phung to enjoy the peace of life in the Western region of the river.

• On the boat trip along the Tien River, the group will stop at Thoi Son Islet. Here, visitors will experience new eco-tourism activities, such as visiting houses and gardens, enjoying local fruit, and interacting with Don ca Tai Tu, a symbol of the Southwest. Not only that, but visitors can also tour the coconut candy-making factory, a childhood favorite for many.
• Go boating on a small canal: You will experience riding a small boat down the canal between two rows of cool green coconut trees. Enjoy your lunch at Viet Nhat Ecotourism Area on the islet.
• At Viet Nhat ecological restaurant, there is a crocodile farm, a porcupine farm, a frog-farming model, and tortoise farming, as well as hammocks for rest and a garden with fruit trees, coconut groves, and rice fields. Here, you can play completely free games such as cycling across the bridge, boating on the canal, zip-lining, walking on the monkey bridge, and many other new and exciting games.

As your journey ends, return to My Tho by motorboat. Travel to Can Tho, have dinner, and stay overnight at the hotel in Can Tho City.

Day 5: Cai Rang Floating Market – Ho Chi Minh City (B, L, D)

In the morning, you will have breakfast at the hotel, then your guide will take you to Ninh Kieu wharf, take a boat trip on the Can Tho river to visit the fishing port, Can Tho market, Quang Trung bridge, visit Cai Rang floating market, one of the largest floating markets in the Mekong Delta, where hundreds of boats and trading ships exchange goods and local specialties.

Keep cruising through small canals and visit local houses. Visit the craft village of making rice noodles. Afterward, experience the “Monkey Bridge” in the Mekong Delta. Break for lunch at the local restaurant. In the afternoon, return to Ho Chi Minh City and stay overnight.

Day 6: Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) – Departure (B)

The last day is your free time, relax until your transfer to the airport. Your tour from Ho Chi Minh ends.
