Day 1: Arrive in Hanoi
You are welcomed at Noi Bai International Airport – T2 terminal by Viet Dream Travel‘s guide and driver. You will then be transferred to one of the top-rated boutique hotels located in the Old Quarter. Relax with a “ Jet Leg Spa Package “. Enjoy your welcome dinner with special dishes. Day 2: Visit Hanoi on motorbikes - Lao Cai - Sapa After your breakfast. Get on one of our exciting rides as a pillion passenger, and you will be taken to the must-see attractions in Hanoi, including the Opera House, the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, and a tour of the Hanoi Old Quarter and Hoan Kiem Lake. This is a perfect introduction for visitors to Hanoi. You then ride to Truc Bach, on the West Lake, to experience Hanoi life with morning tea and social interactions. Have lunch at a local restaurant. Enjoy Bia Hoi (Local beer) and special dishes like locals. Free at leisure. Your dinner will be served in an authentic Vietnamese restaurant before we transfer to the station for the night train to Sapa. Spend your night in a private wooden cabin.
Day 3: Lao Cai - Sapa - Y Linh Ho - Lao Chai - Ta Van
You will arrive in Lao Cai in the early morning. Our local guide and driver pick you up at the station and transfer you to Sapa for breakfast. Free at leisure, enjoy a fresh morning with hot tea and coffee before starting your sightseeing tour. Start with the road trip; then walk along a small path down the valley to the Muong Hoa River, and from there to the Black H’mong village of Lao Chai. The Black H’mong are one of the largest minority groups in the Sapa area. They are proud of their culture and keep their traditions and way of living. They have their own language and wear traditional indigo blue clothing. After this, you continue to Ta Van village (1.200 m) to visit the Zay people. Zay is a fairly small minority group of about 38.000 people who live mainly in the mountains in Northwest Vietnam. The development has meant that some of their old customs have been lost, but many women still wear traditional shirts in purple, blue, or green. The Zay houses are built of wood and bamboo with a clay floor. We stay overnight with a local family in Ta Van and have our dinner here.
Day 4: Ta Van - Giang Ta Chai - Su Pan - Sapa
After breakfast, we continue to visit the Red Dao tribe at Giang Ta Chai, where we also see a waterfall. The Red Dao women have very colorful red embroidery and coins on their clothing. On their heads, they wear red scarves. Some of the women have shaved off their eyebrows because of a nice Red Zao Legend. We continue along small paths in the rice fields, cross the Muong Hoa River, and trek up to Su Pan, where you will meet the jeep and transfer back to Sapa. Then go to the station for a night train back to Hanoi. Spend your night in a private wooden cabin.
Day 5: Hanoi - Halong - Bai Tu Long Bay
Arrive in Hanoi in the early morning. We'll pick you up and transfer you to the hotel for a shower and rest. Today, we will travel to Halong to visit the marvelous Bai Tu Long Bay. The drive to Halong city through the Red River Delta takes around 3,5 hours, including a rest stop on the way, in a private car. You will board a Halong cruise, one of the top-rated options. After lunch, we set sail for Bai Tu Long Bay, passing the towns of Hon Gai and Cam Pha, and the extraordinary limestone karst landscapes, Oan Lagoon, Teapot, and Monster Head Islets. We explore the Vung Vieng fishing village by local rowboats or kayaks to discover the daily lives of its inhabitants. Cruise Halong Bay will stay close to Hang Trong Islet for the evening. Stay overnight on the bay in your Signature Suite cabin.
Day 6: Ha Long - Ha Noi
The nicest time of the day on Halong Bay is the morning. Head to the upper deck to participate in our daily Tai Chi sessions. Relax with an early morning cup of tea, coffee, or juice anywhere you wish on the boat and watch the never-ending miraculous scenery unfold before you. Enjoy our buffet breakfast. It is one of the best, if not the best, in the region, and our guests are always satisfied. We offer a wide variety of breakfast favorites, and we are sure there will be something for you, no matter your preference. After breakfast, we board the excursion boat for a side trip to Surprise Cave (Sung Sot). The 100-stair climb is well worth it for the extraordinary views this grotto has worn into a limestone karst over millions of years. Day 7: Hanoi - Danang - Hoi An
After breakfast at your hotel. Our local guides and driver will transfer you to Noi Bai international airport for a one-hour flight to Danang at the T1 terminal. In Danang, our local guide and driver will pick you up and transfer you to the Hoi An hotel. After lunch, start visiting the Temple Kwan, Phuc Kien Temple, Tan Ky Ancient House, Phung Hung house, Japanese Bridge, and cultural showrooms in Hoi An. After your walking tour, if you have free time, you can go shopping in the old town. Dinner at the local restaurant. Overnight at the top-rated boutique hotel in the ancient town of Hoi An.
Day 8: Hoi An - Tra Que
After breakfast at the hotel. Today, you will experience the Tra Que village with local farmers. Tra Que - a little charming village lies on the edge of Hoi An, it is named after the sweetly scented vegetables, not only making the Pho Hoi ‘s meals more sweet with different flavors but also making Hoi An specialties such as Cao Lau, Quang Noodle more memorable. If you come to the village, you can also enjoy a cooking class conducted by the host featuring local “Tam Huu” spring rolls, primarily made with Tra Que vegetables, or a pancake with meat (Banh xeo), made with the enlivenment. Experience one day living and working with the local people at the Tra Que vegetable village, where you will have a chance to discover the daily life of farmers. Return to Hoi An. Day 9: Danang - Ho Chi Minh City
After breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Danang airport for boarding to Ho Chi Minh city. Our local guide and driver will pick us up and transfer us to the hotel. Take a sightseeing tour of the city, including the Reunification Palace, which was the residence of the President of South Vietnam until the end of the war in April 1975. And some beautiful French colonial structures, including the Notre Dame Cathedral and the Old Central Post Office. Tour of town and Thien Hau temple. After seeing the Emperor Jade Pagoda and the War Remnants Museum, we end the city tour at Ben Thanh market, where anything and everything is for sale. Enjoy the A O show in the evening. Day 10: Ho Chi Minh City - Cu Chi tunnels by speed boat
After breakfast at the hotel. Most of the tourists visiting the Cu Chi tunnels visit by bus. Today, you will do something different. We will visit the tunnels by speed boat. The interesting bot ride up the tunnels is about 1,5 hours. When you arrive to the tunnels area, we will watch a brief introductory ‘propaganda’ video to the Cu Chi area. Explore the Cu Chi site, which includes weapon and booby trap exhibitions, navigating an authentic Viet Cong tunnel, visiting different underground bunkers (kitchens, meeting rooms, ammunition, etc.), a firing range, and much more. Try the local cassava root that sustained Viet Cong fighters for years. Enjoy a delicious traditional Vietnamese lunch by the river before another boat ride back to Ho Chi Minh City. Day 11: Ho Chi Minh City - Vinh Long - Mo Cay by motobike
After breakfast at the hotel. Our tour guide will pick you up at your hotel by motorbike, heading south to the Mekong Delta. Today, we will take you to the green rice paddies, over quiet rivers, and past scenes of local daily life. In Go Cong, we’ll stop for a visit at the Royal Palace and a nearby cherry plantation. Lunch is served in a local restaurant set on stilts above a muddy beach. As you eat, you can watch the hundreds of clam collectors at work along the shoreline. After lunch we’ll drive along the river in the direction of Ben Tre, an area known as the ‘kingdom of coconuts’. A narrow jungle path takes us to a homestay on the river, where you can relax amid nature or try your hand at fishing before enjoying a delicious Vietnamese dinner.
Day 12: Mo Cay Nam Back To Ho Chi Minh City by Motorbikes
The day begins with breakfast at the homestay, after which we’ll take a stroll through the town’s morning market, and stop inside a workshop where women craft handmade brooms for use all around southern Vietnam. From Mo Cay we’ll drive 25 kilometers to the Ben Tre Wharf and take a boat to the main coconut farming and production area. Situated on a branch of the Mekong River, the people of Ben Tre make their living by manufacturing coconut products. At one of the coconut processing plants, you’ll witness each stage of the coconut’s journey – from husking to shaving and washing – to the creation of a wide range of products such as oil, candies, and even kitchen utensils. We’ll take a short walk to a local mat-weaving workshop before stopping for lunch in a traditional Mekong Delta house. After lunch, we’ll continue our tour of Ben Tre at a brick factory and have a look around the enormous kilns where the bricks are fired. We return to the bikes on a scenic boat ride and begin the drive back to Ho Chi Minh City around 3pm. Rest your day at leisure. Free to explore Ho Chi Minh City and have dinner on your account. Day 13: Ho Chi Minh City - departure
