Tour Type: Nature and Landscape, History and Culture Brief Itinerary Day 1: Ho Chi Minh City arrival Day 2: Ho Chi Minh City Tour Day 3: Cao Dai Temple & Cu Chi Tunnels Day 4: Ho Chi Minh to Hoi An town Day 5: My Son Holly Land Day 6: Hoi An – Hue City Day 7: Hue to Ha Noi Day 8: Ha Noi city tour Day 9: Ha Long Bay Day 10: Ha Noi Departure Tour Details Day 1: Arrive Ho Chi Minh city tour Upon arrival in Ho Chi Minh, you will be picked up and transferred to your hotel. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh city. Day 2: Ho Chi Minh city (B, L) After your breakfast, start Ho Chi Minh City tour for visiting the city: Notre Dame Cathedral, Independent Palace, the former US Embassy. Continue to visit War Museum, Revolution, Museum, Giac Lam Pagoda, a war vestige where a Buddhist monk immolated himself in protest of the war, and the church where Ngo Dinh Diem – President of the puppet government – was assassinated. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh. Day 3: Cao Dai Temple – Cu Chi Tunnels (B/L) Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel then start your day of visiting Cao Dai Temple of Caodaism followers with their mass ceremony at noon – when followers fill the hall wearing colored robes, a symbol of the curious combination of Confucianism, Taoism, and Buddhism. On the way back, visit the Cu Chi Tunnels, an underground network of tunnels constructed by Vietnamese troops during the civil war. The tunnels contained hospitals, accommodation, etc. and were used as a military base for the Vietcong during the American war. Drive back to HCMC. Overnight at the hotel in Ho Chi Minh City. Day 4: Ho Chi Minh City – Hoi An Ancient Town (B/L) Breakfast at the hotel and transfer to Tan Son Nhat airport for boarding to Danang airport. Driver picks up and visits Cham museum, Marble Mountain with a marble carving village and also the beach where the US Mariners first came ashore, beginning American’s major involvement in Indochina. Overnight in Hoi An town. Day 5: My Son Holly land (B/L) After your breakfast, you will visit My Son Holly land – ancient buildings at the Champa Kingdom with our tour guide. Then, transfer to harbor, get on a boat cruise along Thu Bon river to traditional craft village of Thanh Ha pottery and Kim Bong carpentry villages – where local people are still using their traditional tools on their daily activities. Overnight in Hoi An. Day 6: Hoi An – Hue city tour (B/L) In the morning you can enjoy the breakfast at the hotel before departing for Hue. On the way we will visit the Marble Mountains and the Cham Museum, where you can get a fantastic insight into the local history and culture. We will also make a stop at the stunning Hai Van pass and Lang Co Beach where you can take some memorable pictures before proceeding to a local restaurant where we will have lunch. When we have arrived in Hue City, we will in the afternoon visit the Dong Ba Market and the Imperial City and the Purple Forbidden City, from where the Nguyen Dynasty ruled from 1802 to 1945. In the evening you will enjoy a beautiful boat trip, while locals will play their folk music. Dinner is at the guest’s own cost Day 7: Hue city tour – Ha Noi After a good night’s rest, breakfast will be served at the hotel. We will bring you on a morning tour by boat from where you will visit the royal tomb of Emperor Tu Tuc followed by the Thien My Pagoda and mausoleum of Emperor Minh Mang. All of the sights are located in beautiful garden scenery with small lakes and greeneries. You will enjoy lunch at a local Vietnamese restaurant, before we proceed towards the airport to depart for Hanoi. When you arrive at Noi Bai international Airport in Hanoi, your tour guide and driver will pick you up and bring you to your hotel in the Old Quarter of Hanoi City. In Hanoi you will be welcomed with a dinner of Hanoi specialties. Day 8: Ha Noi city tour Before beginning an interesting day with the history of Vietnam, breakfast is served at the hotel. To begin with we will bring you to visit the Ho Chi Minh complex, where you can see Uncle Ho’s humble house on stilts and then continue to the nearby One Pillar Pagoda inspired by the lotus flower. Continuing we will visit the stunning architectural Temple of Literature, where you can see the old scripture on massive stone plates, while walking through the symmetric gardens alongside the small lakes in what is known as the first university inVietnam. Cross the red bridge over the lakes in the heart of Hanoi to the Ngoc Son Temple and afterwards you can relax while being taken around in the Old Quarter of Hanoi by Rickshaw. After a tour in the charming streets of Hanoi’s Old Quarter, we will bring you to your hotel. For the rest of the evening you are free to enjoy Hanoi furthermore and dinner is on guest’s own account. Day 9: Ha Noi – Ha Long Bay Following breakfast at your hotel, we will depart towards the Halong Bay. When arriving in Halong City, you will board a junk boat, and while departing for the stunning sights of Halong Bay’s limestone formations, lunch will be served. At the four-hour cruise we will also visit the Thien Cung Cave, which was opened for the public in 1998. Visitors can then admire the newly-discovered Dau Go grotto where wooden stakes were set deep inside the cave prior to a battle with an invading Mongol army. Boat ride back to Ha Long city. Road trip back to Hanoi. Dinner on guest’s account. Stay overnight at your hotel of choice in Ha Noi city. Day 10: Ha Noi and departure In the morning you will enjoy your breakfast at the hotel before getting ready to leave Hanoi. While waiting for your flight, you are free todowhat you please, and as you will leave, we will bring you to the Noi Bai International Airport.
