Southeast Vietnam Highlights Tour – 5 Days
Day 1: Tan Son Nhat airport – Mui Ne Upon arrival at the airport, our tour guide and driver will meet you, and transfer to Mui Ne. Overnight in this town. Day 2: Mui Ne – Fishing Village – Sand Dunes (B/L) After breakfast at the hotel, start your sightseeing trip to visit a fishing village, the White and Red sand dunes, which are the top attractions in Mui Ne. Some activities that could be enjoyed are Quad Bike and sliding sand to discover the area, and more chances to capture the scene and snap a picture. Then, the tour guide will take you to visit Fairy Stream, Cham Poshanu towers, and Phan Thiet market. Lunch is served at the local restaurant. Staying overnight in Mui Ne. Day 3: Mui Ne – Ho Chi Minh (B/L) Breakfast at the hotel before starting your trip to visit Ta Cu mountain, a big Buddha, 59 meters long, reclining Buddha in the middle of the jungle. You will have an interesting overview of the beautiful landscape from the cable car to the top of the mountain, with amazing views and funny-looking roofs on the late-19th-century pagodas. After your lunch in the local restaurant, transfer to Ho Chi Minh, and overnight in this city. Day 4: Ho Chi Minh – My Tho – Ben Tre (B/L) After breakfast, the tour guide will pick you up to visit Vinh Trang Pagoda in My Tho. The Vinh Trang pagoda’s style is an elegant blend of West and East; it’s truly a sight to behold. Next, pier tourists to travel across the 30/4 Tien River by motorboat, overlooking floating houses where fish are farmed beneath them, and watching the Rach Mieu bridge. To Thoi Son Islet (Unicorn Islet), visitors walk on village streets, visiting people’s houses and orchards, enjoying the seasonal fruits while listening to Vietnamese traditional music (Đàn Ca Tài Tử – A folk art form from Southern Vietnam accredited by UNESCO in 2013 as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity). Also, you have a chance to see women making coconut candy – something Vinh Long is famous for. Afterward, take an amazing rowing boat trip along the small creeks of the islet, shaded by large coconuts, to a local restaurant, then enjoy special Vietnamese dishes (vegetarian options are also available). After lunch, visitors can take a bike tour around the village, immersed in the lives of local people, and enjoy the beauty of the land of coconuts before heading back to Ho Chi Minh. Day 5: Ho Chi Minh – Cu Chi Tunnels (B/L) Breakfast at the hotel before the tour guide takes you to visit Cu Chi – a legendary historical tunnel. This is a unique and incomparable underground village that was used extensively for food and ammunition storage, medical care chambers, command chambers, meeting chambers, bedrooms, and cooking by Hoang Cam stoves. You can try delicious manioc, which was the main food for guerrilla-warriors in Cu Chi during the war. Also, there is a chance for shooting with an AK47, MK16 or machine guns at the nearby shooting range.
