Vietnamese sweet soup is very diverse, including sweet dishes cooked into liquid or thick, served both hot and cold. Ingredients to make sweet soup include a variety of jellies and fruits, beans, rice, sticky rice, and even tubers and grains.

A popular Vietnamese beef stew, it can be eaten on its own or with bread and a variety of herbs. The dish includes beef cut into large cubes, carrots, lemongrass, cinnamon, chili, pepper, garlic, and purple onions, all simmered in a spicy, fragrant broth.
