Tran Bien Temple of Literature
Tran Bien Temple of Literature is more than 300 years old, located on a campus of more than 15 hectares, in Buu Long ward, Bien Hoa city. The Temple of Literature is the first cultural and educational center of Dong Nai province in particular and of the Mekong Delta region in general.
Visitors will have the opportunity to admire the elegant and ancient traditional architecture, with turquoise tiled roofs, many items similar to the Temple of Literature – Quoc Tu Giam. At the same time, we see the value of culture and education from the early days of the Southern Vietnamese people.
Bien Hoa Ancient citadel
Bien Hoa ancient citadel (Cuu Citadel, Ken Citadel, Xang Da Citadel) is located in Quang Vinh ward, Bien Hoa city. This is one of the largest military citadels in the history of citadel construction in the South that still exists today.
The current ancient citadel still has traces of walls built of laterite from early times. The two citadels on the East and West have typical French architecture with domed windows.
Nguyen Huu Canh Temple
Nguyen Huu Canh Temple (Binh Kinh Temple) was established by the people to remember the meritorious deeds of the lord Nguyen Phuc Chu in reclaiming the land of Bien Hoa and the South. The temple is located in Hiep Hoa ward, Bien Hoa city.
Inside the monument, there are a number of typical works: Statue of Nguyen Huu Canh, Bien Hoa – Dong Nai stele house, main hall… Tourists should not forget to learn about the place Cu Lao Pho – where Nguyen Huu Canh first set foot to Dong Nai, along with his achievements in establishing sovereignty in the South.
Hang Gon Ancient Tomb
Hang Gon ancient tomb, also known as Ong Da Tomb or Indochina Tomb. The tomb located in Hang Gon commune, Long Khanh city, is a special national archaeological relic, belonging to the rare dolmen burial type in Vietnam and the world, dating from 150 BC to 240 AC.
Visitors will learn about the Hang Gon ancient Tomb in its history, along with the stories and mysteries surrounding the construction of the tomb with its outstanding artistic, technical and creative value of ancient communities used to live in this land.
Nhon Trach Tunnels
Nhon Trach Tunnels (Phuoc An Tunnels) are located in Long Tho commune, Nhon Trach district. Visitors will be able to directly visit the tunnel system of about 200m.
The exhibition area stands out with a model recreating tunnel digging activities; documents and images of Rung Sac special forces, the resistance war against the US by Nhon Trach’s army and local citizens, along with hundreds of artifacts of revolutionary soldiers.
Ong pagoda
Ong Pagoda, also known as That Phu Co Mieu or Lord Guan Temple, is located in Hiep Hoa ward, Bien Hoa city, built more than 300 years ago, and is considered one of the most ancient and sacred pagodas in the Mekong Delta.
In addition to cultural and religious values, the pagoda also has historical value, associated with the first settlement of the Chinese community in the South in the mid-17th century.
