Lang Bian is considered the “roof of Da Lat,” not only because of its altitude of over 2,000m above sea level, but also because of its breathtaking scenery. From the summit of Lang Bian, you can admire the entire Da Lat unfolding like a watercolor painting, along with Dan Kia Lake and Suoi Vang (Golden Stream), which resembles a giant pink silk cloth standing out against the vast green of the mountains and hills.
Overview of Lang Bian Mountain
Lang Bian (or LangBiang) is the name of a mountain located about 12km from the center of Da Lat, located in Lang Biang-Da Lat Ward, with a long history closely associated with the development of tourism. Lang Bian Peak
In addition, within the Lang Bian tourist area, there is a fourth mountain, Radar Hill, at 1,929 meters. Lang Bian is considered the “roof” of Da Lat and a popular, attractive tourist destination.

Entrance fees to Lang Bian Peak
Because it is a well-planned tourist area, visitors who want to visit Lang Bian Peak must purchase entrance tickets and use paid services.
- Adults: 50,000 VND/person
- Children: 25,000 VND/person
In addition to climbing to the top of Lang Bian, also known as Radar Hill, visitors can rent a Jeep for 720,000 VND per vehicle and per trip. Jeeps can carry a maximum of 6 adults, so if you’re traveling alone or in a small group, consider joining a larger group to reduce the cost (120,000 VND) per person when renting a vehicle.

For those who choose to hike, this will be a rather long and strenuous journey. The mountain peak is over 2,000 meters above sea level, and a healthy person will typically take 2 to 3 hours to complete the climb. This would be an exciting option if you want to experience the thrill of climbing to Da Lat’s highest point.

However, please note that hiking is only recommended in good weather, and you should bring plenty of water and personal supplies. If it rains, visitors should stop immediately to avoid the dangers of slippery mountain paths due to mud.
Exploring Lang Bian Mountain
Lang Bian Mountain is divided into five large areas for tourists, including the visitor reception area, the Hundred-Year Valley, Mimosa area, Dankia Hill – Radar Hill, and Lang Bian Peak.
The visitor reception area is the entrance gate. You can buy tickets and rent a Jeep if needed. Visitors can also buy food and drinks to prepare for the journey to conquer the mountain peak or order strawberries from the garden to take home as souvenirs. The price of strawberries here is quite low compared to the market, ensuring they are picked from the garden with the highest quality.

The Hundred-Year Valley is about 500 meters from the entrance gate. This area has been planned as a resort, with full services including restaurants, accommodation, tennis courts, and campfire areas. This place has been chosen as the venue for many major festivals in Da Lat.

Next is the Mimosa area, about 1km from the Hundred-Year Valley. Here you’ll find a simple, ancient suspension bridge built by the indigenous people. There are also restaurants modeled on traditional stilt houses, serving local specialties in a very rustic, friendly manner. Especially here, you can sample rice wine and smoked buffalo meat, enjoy bonfires and traditional gong performances.

Radar Hill, at an altitude of over 2000 meters above sea level, is like a heavenly paradise in the early morning before the mist dissipates. At the top of Radar Hill, there are restaurants, cafes, and other services such as binoculars for viewing Da Lat from above, and horseback riding for photos.

In particular, at the top of the hill, there is a flower garden, statues of K’lang and Hơbiang, a souvenir shop, etc. From here, visitors can see the Golden and Silver Streams and a panoramic view of Da Lat, with mist swirling around you, making you feel like you are in the clouds.
Tips for visiting Lang Bian Peak in Da Lat
When visiting Lang Bian Mountains, choose a time when Da Lat is in spring. At this time, the weather is cool, and nature is at its most dreamy. To experience cloud hunting, you should go early in the morning, around 6:00 AM, and be at the mountaintop. The most beautiful sunset is from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM, when the whole of Da Lat is bathed in twilight, allowing visitors to admire the most shimmering scenery.

However, you should arrange to return early or rent a room and camp right on the mountain to avoid the difficult, slippery path down.
